Nice list

Merry Christmas, everyone. I hope you are all having a lovely day so far and have just woken up from after dinner nap. They are the best kind of naps let's be honest. As we're on our last day of Blogmas I thought it would be nice to write a gratitude log for every day of December, then share it on Christmas day.

1. The Late Late toy show was on TV

2. A lay-in on a Saturday

3.Bought Bleach London reincarnation mask

December in photos

I thought it would be nice to share some of my favourite photos and memories of December, so far. We've still another week left but, it's Blogmas so. Now, these may not be the best quality of photos because they've been taken on my phone and I didn't want to put too much editing into them.

I had to make my room a bit more festive didn't I, read how I created this little tree here.

2018 goals

So it's that time of year again, new year resolution time. So hopefully I've set some realistic goals that I can work towards. So let's get started, shall we?

Bring dogs to The Dirty Onion
A bar in Belfast which is now dog-friendly, they actually hold wee dog events from time to time. You know I have a lot of dogs, I feel bad that I can't bring them all at once.

Dedicate 1 day to bullet journal and blog

15 favourites of 2017

I wanted to do yearly favourites, I can't even remember if I did 2016 version. I don't think I did. A few months back I watched a video over on Meg Says channel all about her 15 favourites, (which you can watch here) I thought that would be a such a good idea to do yearly favs like that. All credit goes to Meg for this idea, so go check out her channel and give her some love.
So that's what we're going to be talking about, 15 things to talk about. Get yourself some tea and take a seat, because we are here for a long time.

Stranger Things 2

If you haven't watched Stranger Things yet, what are you doing? You've 2 full seasons to watch, so loads to binge. Set in the 80's a sci-fi show on Netflix, starting off we met Dystin Mike Lucas and Will. But Will goes missing, we follow the investigation of finding him. Then we meet 11. I'll leave it there, don't want any spoilers/

Christmas tree

So I thought I'd share with you some of my favourite ornaments from our Christmass tree. We've never had a real tree, there's too much kid and dogs running about, they'd run into it.

And yes, there are presents under the tree. There have been a few weeks lol. When you where younger did yous ever argue with your brothers or sisters to sit next to the tree? Just us.

What if?

Do you ever wonder how different life can be? If you didn't go to a certain party, met that certain someone or something major in your life happened differently or didn't happen at all. It's a strange life we lead and I'm a firm believer in that everything happens for reason. Even though it seems like the worse time of your life, it'll make you stronger and better person for it.

Life can change in a matter of seconds, that scares me. One decision can change everything.

Blogmas: a reflection

I forgot how much time and effort Blogmas takes, I say this as if I've all the experience in the world. This is my second time doing Blogmas, last year I was more prepared. So I want to share with you my experience and some of my tips to see you through the blogmas season

Don't follow the crowd
If you see a certain post that everyone is writing or a product that everyone is raving about. If you don't force yourself to write something you are not feeling. It'll show in your writing and not be the best it could be. Do you, you'll thank yourself for it.

Christmas TV picks 2017

One of my favourite things about this time year is the TV,  all the Christmas films, the specials. Thank God for sky + ability to record, otherwise I wouldn't be watching have of this. I picked up the Radio Times TV guide the other day and choose some my favourites to watch. Not #spon from Radio Times, just really like their TV guide.

Christmas Eve

Jack Frost 955am ITV

The Snowman channel 4 520pm

Bookish Naughty list tag

The lovely Jenn from the book blog Jenniely tagged me in her bookish naughty list tag, which you can read here. Go check out Jenn's blog while you're over there, if you love your books you'll love her blog.

The rules of tag being, there's a set of bookish related stuff and tick whether it relates to you or not. I've a feeling that this tag will out all my bad habits.
Just realised I can't do ticks on my keyboard, so I'm going to mark them with an x instead

Received an ARC and not reviewed it

I've never received an ARC for review so

Never used NetGalley before, should I be using it?

Laur recommends: YouTubers

I love watching YouTube, I thought I'd share with you who I've been watching recently. I couldn't get into watching YouTube for ages, it's a weird one to explain.  I guess there was nothing I really wanted to watch any more. I guess I was bored it. But this took me ages to get out of, I think unsubscribing to channels that I didn't watch any more helped shake myself. And felt like a new feed of videos. So here deserves all the love and support.

Kate La Vie
Kate is the Queen of interiors, the da I have my own place can Kate do the interiors? Just go to her Instagram feed, you'll not regret it. Here is her Instagram here. I love watching her vlogs recently since she is doing vlogmas. I've been watching Kate for ages now and following her blog and I will continue to do so.

30 before 30

A few weeks ago I saw on Sanne from the YouTube channel Books and Quills, about her 30 before 30 life update here is Sanne's video. Then more recent I watched Lucy Moon create her 30 before 30 goals, check her video out here. So you might have guessed right, yes I am writing my goals.

1. Travel more

2. Stay creative

3. Move out

Top 8 christmas films: a list

Last blogmas I talked all about a few of my favourite Christmas films, which you can read here. I cringe so much at past post, but ah well. All in the name of Christmas. Now don't worry, the films from last year and this are completely different, who wants to read the same post twice. Boring.

The Holiday

Miracle on 34th street

Home Alone 1 & 2
Technically 2, but we're dealing with it.

Laur recommeds: even more TV shows

Now I love a good binge watch, as some of you may have picked up on if you've been reading the blog for a while. I thought it was about time I shared with you some of the things I've been watching recently. Here's my previous TV show posts, which you can check for yourselves here & here.

Riverdale
I only started watching Riverdale this year, which I'm really surprised at myself tbh. Trust me the show has it's problems but I can't seem to stop watching. Set Riverdale itself, with Jughead narrating the story as we go along. Riverdale High is where all the drama originates from, after that it just creates itself. But I love, it's hit and miss for some people. Give it a go and see how you feel.

Book Haul

It's defiantly been a minute since I done a book haul I think it was April my last one. So it's about damn time I shared with you all of the books that I've picked up in the last few months. Until I gathered them all up I didn't realise how much I bought all together, whoops.

Now a few of these books I've included in posts before, but why not put them in another post and haul them for you.

The Christmas tag

The lovely Amy from the blog Fleur du Belle tagged me to do The Christmas tag. Which I was all biz about because I was actually looking to do a Christmas tag. But I couldn't find any, so a huge thank you to Amy for the tag.

What's your favourite Christmas movie?
I could give a list of all of the Christmas movies, but if I had to give you one. It would be The Grinch, I love The Grinch. I can't believe I haven't watched this year, I must fix that stat. Because that doesn't sit right with me lol.

Favourite bloggers

It's been a while since I done a post all about bloggers I've been loving. Sharings caring after all. I'm going to share with you a post for you to check out, as they are some of my favourites

Lauren the Daydreamer
Lauren is a fellow Irish blogger, who I've talked on twitter for ages now.  So when I finally got around to meeting her back in March, it was so lovely when you meet people and you just click straight away.  Lauren's photography is amazing, just go look through her Instagram feed and her blog. If she could teach me her ways that would be great. She hits the nail on the head with her post all about social media and the pros & cons, we're so addicted to our phones and social media. Everyone should definitely check Lauren's post out.

Post to check out

This time next year tag

Last year during Blogmas, I took part in the 'this time next year' tag. And I thought it would be fun to do a little update and set new goals for myself.

Here's a throwback to my first blogosphere magazine, this time last year.
Last years goals,
I want to still be blogging.
I will have upgraded my phone.
I will have lost a bit of weight. x2/3 which isn't too bad but tbh could've down a tiny bit better. But it didn't happen and that's that, no point in dwelling about is there.

2017

2017 has been a weird year in general, so much has happened. Good and bad. So I want to share with you a few of my favourite moments of the year. We all have our bad times, trust me so believe you me. Not everything this year has been 100% fine, I'm in one now so I'm going to shut up. And let you have a sneak peek into my 2017

First foreign holiday
I went to Tenerife for the first time this year, it was definitely one of the best things I done. Just to get away from everything for a week. I'd definitely go back to Tenerife in a heartbeat, even though I did get sunburnt but it was well worth it.

The undo list

Guess where I first saw this? Pinterest, obviously. The undo list is basically stuff you want to stop doing, to undo so to speak.

Stop procrastinating
I start something but I'm very easily distracted by everything. Go tidy my room, I'll be napping in a half hour. Write a blog post, I'll start watching TV or YouTube. It's great. I need to improve my life lol. I need someone constantly nagging in my ear to tell me to do stuff.

10 famous people I'd have round for Chrismas dinner

So if you could invite 10 famous people around for Christmas dinner, who would they be? Dead or alive. Not going to lie this took me longer to decide upon that it should've done. I've never really thought about this until this post.

Bullet Journal + page ideas

This year I started up the bullet journal, which is something I've really enjoyed. It's a weird one to explain, so I'm going to leave a few videos and websites for you. I'll never explain the bullet journal very well, so links are the best way and Pinterest is your best friend.

Current listens #3

So it's been a over a year sine I last posted a 'current listen's' post, I don't know how that even happened. That year completly flew in, it's crazy. Now I'm not going to talk about everything I've listened from last year, could you picture the length of this post. We'd be here to this time next year reading.

I'm going to start with podcasts, I love a good podcast. Especially when I'm on my way to work or taking the doggies a walk. Anyway, here's my favourites recently.

10 things that make me smile

I thouht this would be nice to add into Blogmas, is this a tag? I'm near sure it is. But anyway, not the point. Anyway, since I've been feeling a bit shit recenlty. I thought I needed this just to make myself feel better.

Plus how massive is this mug, which I got from the pound shop. Which is so good, I love finding things like this in the poundshop. Go in for one thing, come out with a pile of stuff I don't need. #relatable

What lip products I've been using

I love a good lipstick, liquid lipstick, the lot. Basically. I own far too much lip products for one person to use, I'll admit that. So here's the ones that haven't been removed from my makeup bag or handbag for while now.

So here we have a very lame attempt at making a christmas tree shape from lipsticks. I tried, I failed. The thought was there anyway.

And on the first day of Blogmas*

On the first day we talk about all of my favourite festive things to do over the Christmas period. I've my Iced Gingerbread Yankee Candle burning in the background while I'm writing this. I'm feeling very festive right now. So stick on the Christmas tunes, don't worry I have you sorted here's a ready made playlist on Sptify for you.

I love everything that comes with Christmas, the food, music, films and most important people coming together. The content from YouTubers and Bloggers, that's why I love December. So much cosey vibes coming our way, fairy lights and all.

I'm back, again

Do you ever feel so overwhelmed and unmotivated? This has been how I've been feeling these past few weeks, I just haven't been annoyed to do anything. I've been just working non-stop, I think I burnt myself out. So I just needed time out to get my head clear.

Don't worry Blogmas posts are coming your way, very soon.

Makeup Revoution x Soph palette

Happy November
If it's a warm-toned, Autumnal palette you're looking for Soph's palette is the one for you. Now I have a few Makeup Revolution palettes but, not going to lie this is my absolute favourite. Soph from Sophdoesnails is one of my favourite YouTubers, I was so pleased for her when she released her video all about the palette. Here is Soph's video all about her palettes and why she choose the names of the shadows. For the eyeshadow palette, it's £10 and the highlight palette £8, so it's easy on the bank.

I've only the eyeshadow palette but I really want to try out Soph's highlight palette, we all know how much I love a good highlight. Now there are a few swatches in here, I'm not the best swatcher in the world but we're dealing with that. Swatcher? Is that even a word?

I put a spell on you 🎃✨

Can you tell I'm into these Halloween related titles? Even though I just posted about my love for Autumn, but seeing it's Halloween week I just wanted a chat about my favourite time of year. With all the festivities, fireworks, parties and dressing that goes on. I wanted to share with you all of my favourite things about the holiday.

How many times have you watched Hocus Pocus?

It's just a bunch of Hocus Pocus

I'm currently on my week off from work, I can get myself fully into the Halloween/Autumn vibes. I couldn't be happier about being able to do what I want for a a whole week, so much activities. Does binge watching count as a main priority? Because not going to lie, I am. Hello Stranger Things on 27th, If anyone asks me to move on Friday.

Currently I am ...

I thought this would be fun to write about all the things I'm currently reading, watching etc. I was going to put these in my latest 'what I'm loving' post, I had too much to share in that post already and I didn't want to completely bore you.

Reading
I've mentioned this in a past post, it's such a weird read. A bunch of short stories, they are so twisted and if that's the kind of books you're into definitely check out Roald Dahl's short story collection.

Self care

Does everything just get too much? Like does everything just seem to be hitting you all at once? Self-care is something everyone should take 5 mins out of their day to do. Just to take a deep breath, think about whatever is going on in your life. And just to process everything.

When I'm having a hard day, I need time away from it just to zone out. I want to share with you what I do to self-care. Does that even make sense, I hope it does. Seeing as it was World mental health day on Tuesday, I thought it would be the best post that I could do to support the cause.

What I've been loving

As promised in Sunday's post (read here) I'm here to talk about my current favourites. I love to share with you all sorts of random stuff with you, so let's carry on, shall we. As we can see there is a lot to go through. Also, I was going to talk about tv & films I've been loving, but I think I'm going to put up a completely different post on Sunday. I've watched a lot of shows in the past few months, which are amazing. So keep a look out for that.

Makeup
I legit just picked this up today, but I love it. It feels so nice and moisturising on lips, not drying at all.  If you're on the hunt for a new liquid lipstick, check these ones from L'Oreal, on the plus side, they do smell rather nice. I'm dying to pick up some more of these, probably some of the more nude shades.

Hello October 🎃🍁🍂

It's been almost a month, give or take a few days. So much has happened in my life since my last post, but now I'm feeling myself and want to get back into the things I love. Well trying to anyway.
I just want to have a chat with you, just a little admin to get ourselves in some sort of order.

xoxo print & copper leaves are from that lame company, which has sadly closed.
Ohh and my dream catcher is from Tenerife.

Game of Thrones season 7 final reaction *SPOILERS*

I think we all know how much I love Game of Thrones, it's been over a week since the final and I'm still not over it. With knowing there's only one more season I'm not ok. So if you haven't watched Game of Thrones, what are you doing? Get as far away from this post as you can and catch up stat.

So everyone cleared? Have we all caught up? Very good, let's get stuck in, oh don't forget to leave your thoughts down below all about season 7.

The Liebster Award

I've seen this around the blogging world ever since I started blogging, a year ago. A few weeks back Charlotte from the blog  Charlotte E Whitsey nominated me for the Liebster award read her post here.  So big shout out and thanks goes to Charlotte.

So to start we've a bit of admin to deal with all about the award before we get stuck in. Rule 1: thank the blogger who nominated you (thanks, Charlotte again). 2. Answer the 11 questions set by the nominee. 3 nominate 11 bloggers and give them 11 questions to answer.

Makeup chats

Do you ever just want to chat shit about makeup? I'm feeling it so that's what we're going to talk about today. Yes, it's Monday, yes we didn't get a post yesterday. So there's that lol.

I used some of my favourite products as well as some new things, so shall we see how I used all of this on my face.

10 things about me

How have I come up with 10 more things about myself? Who am I? Here are my past posts all about me  (lol) here A-Z of Lauren & 15 facts about me. This is me we're talking about, we all know how much I ramble

1. I used to use a black kohl eye liner for my eyebrows. My hair was black, I hadn't a clue about makeup and my brows were shit. It was actually Helen Anderson's reacting to her old makeup video that reminded me about this. My poor brows.

Tiny

One thing I didn't plan on posting, not anytime soon, was a doggie post. Well, well, well we've made a comeback. We're  introducing Tiny the little Chihuahua.

How cute is she though? This photo wasn't even planned, I just happened to look over and she was laying on her wee teddy.

That Lame Company: Box of Lame

I got this box before I went on holiday this year, which was around 2 months ago would you believe. I got That Lame Company's, that lame box. Which is my absolute favourite box to pick up, you receive all of the stationary goodness you could ever want.

That Lame Company is also under a whole rebrand to A Little Amber, I couldn't be more excited to see what will become of this brand.

You can read all about my past box here, for even more stationery goodness.

Books I want to read 📚

Books, I do have a few. But the question is, have I read them all? Nope. So let's chat about all of the books I want to read.

I got this little quote card from a birch box I'm near sure of it. There's a lot we've to get through, so let's get started, shall we?

Laur chats: me & education

So since it's heading into that time of year,  results are coming out, uni options are being decided. I thought I'd share with you my story with education. Just so you know, just because it didn't work out for you the first time doesn't mean it's the end. Keep your options opened.

I was always told 'Lauren you have so much potential', it was always written in reports etc, but the education system was not for me.

Pretty Little Liars final reaction *SPOILERS AHEAD*

I think we all should know that I loved PLL (so much effort to keep typing out Pretty Little Liars lol). I started watching it about just over 2 years ago, which isn't that long, considering people have been watching it from the very start in 2010. Now if you haven't watched PLL, it's all on Netflix.

There may be 7 seasons, but you'll just want to binge. If you do watch and haven't fully caught up yet, let's leave each other here. I don't want to spoil anyone.

Kiss Summer party

Back at the start of June, I was luckily invited to my first ever event as a blogger, by the guys over at Alex Silver PR. They are based in London and this was their first time over in glory old Belfast. The actual party was held on the rooftop of the Merchant hotel in the city centre, and it is absolutely stunning.

This was actually my first time in the Merchant itself, I'm definitely not fancy enough for. I'm more of a bar and pint kind of girl, but putting that a side lol. It was the best night. Let's have a chat all about it.

What I've been loving

I don't  even know where to begin, there's just so much going on since my last post. The joys of being an adult eh. But anyway, I didn't want to feel pressured to write a blog post when I wasn't 100% in the zone to write.

So let's get talking about all of the things I've been loving over the past wee while. So let's get stuck in shall we.

What I've watched #1

We're talking tv shows that I've watched this year so far, if there's one thing you should know about me is that I love a good binge watch.

Instead of doing all of the shows I've watched at the end of the year, I just really wanted to talk about these shows and share them with you. Let me know if you've watched any of these?

Day in the life

Welcome to  my 22nd birthday, I wanted to share the day with you. It was a very chill day which is all I wanted.

This is the makeup that I wore, I picked up the Bourjois city radience foundation and I 'm really enjoying it.

Favourite films

Films are my favourite, I might not know much about films. But I do like to watch and discuss them with my friends.

Not going to lie, when I was thinking about this post I didn't realise how much romantic comedy style films I loved. Everyone has their own tastes so we're rolling with it.

Makeup collection: eye shadows

I was going to do a full makeup collection, then I realised I do own a lot. It's a slight problem. So I'm going to gradually show you all my makeup collections. Today we're talking shadows, I do love a good eyeshadow palette.

We've a lot to get through, so shall we get stuck in?

Hair journey

I thought I'd share with you some of my hair colours over the years, I haven't had any crazy colours but I've had some dodgy cuts and colours over the years.

We're starting out with 16-year-old Lauren, black hair and extensions. I can't deal with my red hair being on the internet right now. So black hair is where we're starting.

Soundtrack to my life tag

A few years back I saw this tag on both Lily Melrose and Zoe London's YouTube, and I thought it would the perfect post for this week. Watch both of their videos here.

Check out the playlist of all of these songs over on Spotify here.
